High school, college and university programs will require a comprehensive portfolio that showcases a total body of work. This class is critique based, rather than lesson based. Our advanced students may join this class if they prefer to work for a longer amount of time on artwork that is more personal to them. The class is designed to create strong works of art; develop interview skills and artist statements; and complete scholarships and application forms.

Portfolio’s take a full year to complete or 100 - 150 hours. The application process for art schools/universities can be rigorous, but manageable with a mentor from Art-Kitect.

2 hours on Thursdays.

This class is designed to teach our youngest students the realistic approach to drawing and painting. Our students will explore a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, clay, mixed-media and sculpture. Our amazing students have the chance to enter local and national art competitions, enabling them to display their skills, earn recognition, and improve their artistic abilities while becoming part of Toronto's vibrant artist community.

45 minutes on Saturdays/ 1 hour on weekdays.

This course is designed to teach our beginner to intermediate students the realistic approach to drawing and painting. This art class will teach various art concepts such as value, colour theory and composition.  We'll experiment with acrylic, oil, watercolour, pen + ink and pencil sketching. Our amazing students have the chance to enter local and national art competitions, enabling them to display their skills, earn recognition, and improve their artistic abilities while becoming part of Toronto's vibrant artist community.

1.5 hours on Saturdays/ 1 hour on weekdays.

This class is designed to teach advanced concepts of tone, texture, shade, depth, value, form, proportion, artistry, and more.Students are encouraged to engage critically with historical and contemporary social concerns. Students will have the chance to join art competitions. This class will be able to use our professional artist materials. Beginners welcome.

1.5 hours on Saturdays.

Our Adults Art Class is designed for adults who have some experience with art practices and mediums. This class runs full year and is taught by Elissa. This class is by no means advanced, however, some knowledge is helpful. We ask our adults what they'd like to learn this year and this group primarily enjoys painting mediums.

Our teachers can create thorough lesson plans in oil painting, architecture, digital art, manga and anime, portfolio building and more.

This type of class is great for two friends or siblings. Students can discuss and choose their course curriculums and have the chance to join one of the many national and international art competitions Art-Kitect is asked to participate in throughout the year. Our experienced instructors deliver individualized guidance, cultivating a profound understanding of key elements like tone, texture, shade, depth, and proportion.
